Louis is a veteran of the graphics and printing industries, having apprenticed at the age of 12 in a New England letterpress shop. There he became fascinated with the art of typography, learned through hand composition with foundry type, “leads and wood furniture.” He went on to become a linotype operator at a Long Island newspaper, and began dabbling with layout and type design, working closely with advertising clients and internal production departments as well as assisting the web press operators. In his mid-twenties he worked for a major NYC printing chain as production assistant which included estimating, print production and client contact. His experience laid the groundwork for the eventual start-up of a Long Island ad agency conceiving, writing and producing ad campaigns for a number of retail chains as well as a number of corporate identities.
In 2002, he wrote, managed and directed the construction of the first CJPW website. Later in 2007, he collaborated on a site re-design, overseeing copy, art and fuctionality and was responsible for the development of Creative Community.Today he has coupled his printing background with his design and print skills and is a partner in CJPW,
a printing/fulfillment/promotional product enterprise offering graphic
and digital services to a variety of corporations, non-profits and specialty organizations.
Craig Maher, graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. Since graduating, Maher has worked for several agencies including high-end advertising firms, publishing houses as well as design boutiques throughout Manhattan.His design philosophy follows a clear, comprehensive direction, helping clients bring concepts to life utilizing a strong, “purest” approach. Maher has received several Graphis Gold awards and two new talent awards and draws his inspiration from the works of Bauhaus, Hipgnosis and Stefan Sagmeister.
Barry Ohannessian has been a successful graphic artist and web developer in the advertising, photography and web development industries since 1994, with over 15 years experience. After attending the School of Visual Arts he co-founded a boutique web design firm in SoHo specializing in web solutions for the fine arts and fashion markets.
Ohannessian has extensive experience with web development and content production using web technologies, including HTML, XML, Flash, Action Script, CMS, PHP, Perl, and Java Script. He offers thoughtful value and insight, helping businesses grow through professional web presentations. His goal is to help clients achieve the unique and innovative solutions typically reserved for major corporations with substantial advertising and new media budgets.
